DENNIS RODRIGUEZ
My name is Dennis Rodriguez. I first picked up the bass when I was 12 years old, and there hasnt been a day when I havent played it. I come from a very musical family. My uncles always encouraged me since a young age to continue to learn my craft. Other influences that I have are John Pattatuchi, Victor Wooten, Stanley Clark, Anthony Jackson, Chacco, and the Johnson brothers to name a few they have all instilled in me a love for R&B, funk, blues, and Gospel music. Music ministry has always been a part of my life since I was 18. My father is a pastor, so church has never been a stranger to me. Before I got in the band I used to play with the Northeast Ohio mass choir, under the direction of Pastor E. Butts and sister Joyce. The Choir traveled locally. After I got in the band thats when the all of ministry that I longed for, and travel really got started! My favorite part of being in who do you say I am would have to be, sharing all of my lifes experiences with the kids, showing the kids my love for God and telling the youth that it is cool to worship and praise God through music. I always try to challenge the youth to perfect their talents. This is where I talk about my gear I have a 5 string Warwick bass, and a Line6 POD. I have played through many rigs, SWR, and Harkey as well as Ampeg amps. I am looking into getting a Gillian and Kruger head and either an swr 4x15 or an ampeg rig well see. I am a native of Cleveland, Ohio and I now live about 20 mins west of Cleveland in the city of Elyria, with my new wife Debbie and 2 stepdaughters, Nicole and Amanda and my son Dennis jr. I also have a daughter, Deanna who is married to my son-in-law Anthony, and they have 2 kids my grand kids Anthony jr. and kaitlyn. When Im not on tour I spend time with my family.
